For tonight's episode, let us hear the story of Ms. Adela Calamba on how she was able to continue valuing her finances and how IMG changed her outlook on having the right financial foundation in life.
Adela was born is a remote area in Davao de Oro. Her parents met when her Boholonao mother worked in her father's family business. Living with five siblings, they grew up in a well-off family because her father's source of income is through their agricultural lands and other business.
She was diagnosed with a Tumor when she was still in her mother's womb. Her mother almost had surgery, but her faher rejected the doctor's diagnosis. Instead they went to a quack doctor. Since then, her familky has always consulted a quack doctor when a medical crisis arose until she graduated from high school.
Contradicting what her family believes in, she got influenced by her classmates to take up nursing in college. Even though she was challengedm she didn't regret studying at San Pedro College Davao City since the school provides qualify education, and most of her classmates were able to work abroad.
Until then, she focused on her intensive iridology training after receiving the board exam results. Though she enjoys being an Iridologist, she didn't have the chance to pursue work that is related to her course because she joined different networking and build several businesses such as ukay-ukay.
She was employed as a nurse in DepEd for seven years. Even though she was hired, she still struggled financially, unlike when she managed her own business. Because of this, she was exposed to loans and money lending.
Adela experienced a lot of networking. Until she was scammed by one of the companies she joined, which required recruitment for you to receive income. Since then, her family didn't allow her to engage in any recruiting business.
In 2018, she joined IMG through her eldest child's classmate. She was urged to let her husband and children join IMG to be promoted. She did not focus on her IMG business until June 2020, when she joined her first virtual convention, her turning point as an IMG member. She realized, and discovered how wonderful the IMG community is.
In IMG, she learned how to spend her hard earned money in a wise and disciplined way. She saved a lot of her money because of the practices that she learned in the community.
