After college, she landed her first job agent in Makati. Since it became a struggle for her, she decided to quit. She continuously looked for a job until she landed a job as a supervisor in a retail shop.
Suzette didn't plan nor dream of becoming an OFW. He co-supervisor invited her to a recruitment agency. Since Suzette wanted a new working environment, she went along with her collegue.
Fortunately, she was one those chosen to work in Singapore. She grabbed the work opportunity to work abroad to help and provide a good life for her family. It was a big adjustment for Suzette when she arrive in Singapore. From their language and culture to their work ethics.
Working in Singapore helped Suzette provide financial support to her family. But for her, having a high paying job did not allow her to sustain financial stability in the long run. She became a big spender on material things, and her savings served as her family's emergency fund.
Three years of being part of IMG, Suzette achieved saving for her retirement, building emergency funds, securing life and health insurance, and paying off her debt. IMG is a big blessing for Suzette. For her, without IMG she might be one of the OFWs adversely affected by the pandemic. She is thankful she met IMG before the pandemic.
